Emily Angiola, Artist/Owner

GREETINGS FROM THE ARTIST

Hi, I am Emily Angiola, the artist behind Emily's Dream. Welcome to my nursery of reborn dolls where I hope you find the baby of your dreams!

I would like to tell you about my background in doll making.  I began at the age of 12, when I was discovered by a renowned porcelain doll artist in New York. I soon became her apprentice. So inspired by my daily lessons and an appreciation for the Golden Age of doll making (approx. 1850-1890) I soon set off to create my first antique reproduction doll.

With excitement and encouragement from my family and friends, I developed my skill as much as possible, traveling to France to meet experts of the French doll trade, participating in seminars, and later at college, Fine Arts and Art History courses. By 1997 I was a full-fledged doll artisan, showing my work at local and regional doll shows and competitions, and in May, 2000 I opened Emily's Dream, where my visions of the most beautiful 19th century French dolls were realized in my reproductions sold exclusively to private customers and shops.

In 2002, I discovered the art of reborning. I am constantly perfecting my ability of making an ordinary vinyl doll into an extraordinary work of art, and have also added silicone dolls to my portfolio. It is because of my family, friends, and devoted customers that I am able to live my dream. Reborning - and doll making in general - gives me so much pleasure. There is nothing more satisfying than capturing the early moments of a baby's life!

Thank you, and God Bless.
